Limehouse Town Hall Consortium Trust are delighted to welcome you to the Town Hall for Open House! Stop by on Saturday 16th or Sunday 17th September between noon and 5pm.
Limehouse Town Hall has stood proudly on the Commercial Road in E14 since 1879, famed for its political past and once serving as the National Museum of Labour History. Today, under the management of Limehouse Town Hall Consortium Trust (LTHCT), it serves as an ethical model for the cultural industries, one that brings together arts, activism, alternative grassroots and municipal forms of civic participation.
Saturday you can stop in with your bike to the Tower Hamlets Wheeler’s monthly bike maintenance workshop. On Sunday, we’ll have a sound installation created by local young people as part of this summer’s Sound Play! programme (see more below).
Come on in for a cup of tea and a chat, explore the building through Olivia Bellas’s Limehouse Town Hall Memento soundwalk, or wander around on your own.
We’ll be here to share more about the building’s past, present and future. Come along and join us
